About me.

I draw on a number of therapeutic traditions that I adapt to meet the needs of individual clients. I provide short-term and longer courses of treatment. I offer psychotherapy and/or medication management. I give you information about your options, so that together we can formulate a treatment plan tailored to help you meet your goals.

* I start from a psychodynamic perspective, meaning that I believe what happens to us profoundly shapes our lives. As I listen to you talk about your life, I will encourage you to pay close attention to your behaviors, desires and dreams, so you can ultimately become more free in your relationships and in your work.

* I also include cognitive and behavioral treatments in my work. Here the client and therapist focus on more specific thoughts and behaviors that get in the way of achieving goals and feeling good. Goals are written down, homework is assigned, and progress is evaluated together.

* A combination of the above two approaches works best for many clients, but we will work together to find an individual plan that works for you.
